Yenilik olarak PEP rejiminde üç veya daha fazla ilaç bulunması gerekliliği vurgulanıyor ve maruziyet sonrası antikor kontrolünün, p24 antijeni içeren dördüncü kuşak HIV antikor testi kullanılıyor ise 4. ayda, bu kullanılamıyor ise 6. ayda yapılması öneriliyor (Dr. Taner Yıldırmak).
