Bu meta-analiz ve gözden geçirmede, 1 Ocak 1990’dan 24 Temmuz 2018’e kadar yayımlanan postoperatif antibiyotik profilaksi ile ilgili randomize kontrollü çalışmalar incelenmiş. Bu değerlendirmeye göre, antibiyotiğin postoperatif devam ettirilmesinin yararına dair kesin kanıt saptanmamış.
